I’ve tried CBT and DBT but I found that talking psychotherapy was the most helpful as I had to address things in my past and it helped me to understand why I may do the things I do. I find the brain fascinating since getting sober!

Me too. One therapy I find most fascinating is EMDR. I feel that with PTSD it’s all about making those memories more easy to bear. EMDR helps with that. I have found that with CBT and DBT it all depends on the therapist or group who administer the treatment. I have been to great groups where there was a citricum and homework; and I have been to groups that were just one big check in. I have found that apps like CBT Companion and DBT Coach have thought me more about these therapies than the therapy itself.
